COLLECTIVE Book Club
A curated reflective reading space for women who engage books as mirrors for life & healing.
We read thoughtfully chosen works by Black (African/Caribbean) & marginalized women, gathering to explore how stories shape perspective, spark reflection, & connect to our lived experiences. Conversations are guided, gentle, & grounded in care, to make it safe for women at every place in their healing journey.
Trauma-aware. Reflective. Life-integrated. A doorway to connection, calm, & collective care.

COLLECTIVE Book Club | May book selection
May's COLLECTIVE Book Club selection asks a question that cuts deep. What Passes as Love by Trisha R. Thomas takes us to 1850s Virginia, into the life of Dahlia — a woman born into slavery who dares to reinvent herself in pursuit of freedom. But freedom, she discovers, is more complicated than escape. This is a story about identity, survival, and the versions of ourselves we wear just to get through — and what it costs to find our way back.

COLLECTIVE Book Club | April 2026 Reflection
April's COLLECTIVE Book Club reflection invites us into a story that stayed long after the last page. Kin by Tayari Jones found us where we were — and led us somewhere deeper. Through Vernice and Annie, two women shaped by the wound of motherlessness, we explored what we inherit without choosing, and how absence can quietly author the whole of a life.

COLLECTIVE Book Club | March 2026 Reflection
March’s COLLECTIVE Book Club reflection invites us to sit with stories of care, displacement, and quiet resilience. Through Keepers of Lost Children, we are asked to consider what it means to hold others while navigating our own becoming. Our reflection moved beyond the story into lived experience ... examining the balance between caring for others and tending to ourselves, and asking: What am I holding that I need to release?
