Health & Wellness Chat

Our monthly Health & Wellness Chat is a safe, intentional space where women gather to learn, reflect, and grow together in pursuit of holistic well-being.

Each month, we explore a focused wellness topic through a faith-rooted and practical lens — addressing the intersections of social-emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health. These sessions are designed to be educational, interactive, and restorative.

Together, we:

  • Engage meaningful health topics relevant to our community

  • Break down practical strategies for sustainable wellness

  • Reflect on how faith and daily living intersect

  • Build sisterhood rooted in support, growth, and accountability

This is not just a lecture! It is a conversation. A space to ask questions. To unlearn harmful narratives. To reconnect with our bodies, our intentions, and our purpose. A place where you can expect insights, reflections, real conversations. And a community committed to reclaiming wellness and living with intention.

Come as you are!

Leave grounded, informed, and empowered!

In this month’s Health & Wellness Chat, Dr. Fauziyyah is joined by Sister Niki Love, founder of Nour Al Shifa Women’s Healing Center, for an introduction to The Sunnah of Hijamah. Together, they explore hijamah (cupping therapy) through the lens of the Sunnah and modern science, discussing its foundations, potential health benefits, safety considerations, and enduring place in Prophetic medicine. Whether you are curious about hijamah or considering it as part of your wellness journey, this workshop offers a faith-centered introduction to this timeless healing practice.

In this month’s Health & Wellness Chat, Dr. Fauziyyah is joined by Sis. Nefertiti Rashid to explore how we can reclaim our wellness before burnout returns. Together, they discuss recognizing the early signs of burnout, creating sustainable habits for movement, nourishment, and rest, and embracing a holistic approach to well-being that nurtures the body, mind, and soul. Rooted in faith and practical wisdom, this conversation is a gentle invitation to slow down, reset with intention, and pursue AFIYAH - a state of wholeness, peace, and well-being - in every season of our lives.

In this month’s Health & Wellness Chat, Dr. Fauziyyah is joined by four inspiring Muslim women to reflect on their Ramadan 2026 ‘Umrah journeys during a season marked by flight cancellations, travel advisories, and unexpected uncertainty. Together, they share how they navigated the challenges of travel with faith, resilience, and tawakkul, while reflecting on the profound spiritual lessons they encountered in the sacred cities of Makkah and Madinah. Their conversation explores the emotional, practical, and deeply personal dimensions of pilgrimage, reminding us that every journey to Allah is shaped not only by where we go, but by who we become along the way. This heartfelt discussion is a testament to Allah’s perfect timing and a reminder that when He calls you to His House, He also makes a way.

In this month's Health & Wellness Chat, Dr. Fauziyyah is joined by Sister Ronnisha of Postpartum Eats to explore holistic postpartum care and the fourth trimester — the sacred season of healing, nourishment, and restoration that follows birth. They unpack cultural food traditions, the emotional and spiritual dimensions of new motherhood, and the maternal health disparities facing Black and Brown women. Recorded in honor of Black Maternal Health Week and National Minority Health Month, this conversation is a timely reminder that caring for mothers is a communal — and sacred — act.

In this month’s Health & Wellness Chat, Dr. Fauziyyah is joined by Sister Kori Majeed of Green Ramadan to explore mindful consumption during Ramadan. The conversation reflects on how the blessed month invites us to eat with greater intention, reduce waste, and embrace environmental stewardship as part of our responsibility as khalifah (stewards of the earth).

As Ramadan approaches, this Nourished & Grounded Health & Wellness Chat invites you to see Ramadan as a training ground — a sacred opportunity to reset habits, deepen worship, and guard your time and heart with intention.

In this January Health & Wellness Chat, we explore setting intentions rooted in clarity, spiritual grounding, and holistic care — honoring your mental, physical, and emotional well-being without hustle or overwhelm. A gentle invitation to begin the year aligned, aware, & grounded.
